All transactional lawyers, not just real estate lawyers, can appreciate this look in the mirror.   What does it take to move past legalese?   1) Legal knowledge on why we have these terms and therefore what can be dispensed and what cannot and 2) courage to change the practice.    I’d guess with continued movement to automating transactional work this could get worse before it gets better.
